Maybe you like ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions, or maybe you like everything on your burger. Possibly you like it plain except for a small squirt of ketchup. However you like to eat your hamburger, everyone can agree that Americans love the meat and bun meal. Hamburgers are a classic American food, and especially popular in Austin, Texas. We are blessed with great hamburger joints, complete with one of the “finest”…Mighty Fine.
As you enter the Mighty Fine restaurant, mouthwatering smells of freshly cooked hamburgers tickle your nose. When ordering, remember that your eyes will probably be bigger than your stomach, especially when it comes to Mighty Fine’s ¼ pound burger (known as the junior burger) and the ½ pound burger. All of Mighty Fine’s burgers are made from 100% fresh all-natural ground beef. Everyone likes their burger different, so when it comes to toppings Mighty Fine has a variety. The cashier takes your order on a paper bag. As for condiments, you can choose from Red (ketchup), White (mayonnaise), and Yeller (mustard). You can also order cheese, onions, pickles, tomatoes and shredded lettuce. Bacon and jalapenos cost extra ($0.85 for bacon and $0.35 for jalapenos).
Aside from just hamburgers and cheeseburgers, Mighty Fine offers a chopped chili dog and a chopped chili cheese dog. Both of these got excellent reviews from the newspaper staff and family members. Along with your meal, you can order fresh-cut crinkle fries. These got mixed reviews.
Kaitlin (7) said, “I love the fries! They are so addicting!”
Another Mighty Fine patron commented, “The fries tasted a bit soggy.”
After chowing down on your meal, you can sip on one of Mighty Fine’s famous hand-dipped shakes. You can choose from chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, or lemonade. So the next time you’re in the mood for a great burger, head on down to Mighty Fine Burgers. There are two north Austin locations—the Arbor Walk and The Round Rock Outlet Mall. We dined at to the Arbor Walk. The food is good and the prices are reasonable, and everything there really is mighty fine!
