Give drugs the boot

by Rachel, Assignments Editor

During the week of October 26 through October 30, our school teamed up against drugs using themes for each day to teach about the danger of drugs.

Monday was crazy sock day, Tuesday we wore crazy hats, and on Wednesday we gave drugs the boot with a western day. On Thursday Jags teamed up against the use of drugs by wearing our school color-purple, and Friday we promised to not get into a hairy situation by wearing wild and crazy hairdos.
Most students came to school with colored hair, wore wigs, and some even had colored bottles in their hair.

“My favorite day was Monday. It was fun to wear crazy socks, and the purpose was to show you don’t always have to follow the crowd. You can show yourself as unique,”Frankee (8) said.

“Tuesday was fun because I got to wear a huge pink sombrero to school,” Julia (8) said.
“On Wednesday we got to show our southern side because we are from Texas,” Mai-Lan (8) said.

“On Thursday our school teamed up against drugs by wearing our school color-purple,”` Paige (7) said.

“My favorite day was Friday. It was fun having all those different colors in my hair,” said Yuri (8).
