THE PAW PRINT PUBLICATION MISSION STATEMENT


The publications at Cedar Valley have a variety of styles, goals and audiences. Our mission for the newspaper is to present stories that relate to our school (and at times, community and national and/or international events). The purpose of a student newspaper is to accurately report newsworthy events and to be a forum for student opinion. Our staff must, above all else, use INTEGRITY, candor and honesty at all times. It is up to our young journalists to gain recognition in the community as notable writers who exceed their potential by getting the news out on time, accurately painting their stories with words that are of special interest and gaining audience appeal because their columns, feature stories, and layout are sophisticated, extraordinary, and significant!
